The $100,000 grant-giving organization, Impact 100 of Indian River County, is celebrating 15 years of providing grants to nonprofits with a big party in the park on Saturday, February 25.
A gift to the public, Share to Care is a nonprofit community fair being held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. under the oaks in Riverside Park. Free and open to the public, the fair showcases more than 40 local nonprofits that have received grants from Impact 100 over the past 15 years.
Impact 100 has awarded more than $5.5 million in grants to fund more than 85 critical projects, ranging from medical services to mentoring programs.
Grant recipients are already planning activities, demonstrations, and performances to promote their organizations and share the impact their programs have on the community.
What can attendees expect in addition to the nonprofit showcase? Food trucks, amazing dancers, music, and theatrical performances on the main stage, face painting, scavenger hunts, learning opportunities about nature, history, and much more!
“Share to Care is going to be tremendous fun for the whole family,” says June Fitzgerald, Share to Care co-chair “It’s a great opportunity for people to see the impact of these nonprofits and discover where they might want to volunteer, make a donation to a worthy cause or obtain services for themselves or their loved ones.”

“Over the past 15 years, Impact 100 has helped change the lives of thousands of people in Indian River County and made a big difference in the health and welfare of our community,” says Mary Ellen McCarthy, president of the all-woman philanthropic organization.
Impact 100’s demanding grant-making process has become the gold standard for women’s philanthropy in Indian River County. Grant finalists are narrowed down through a multifaceted grant review process, and the number of grants awarded is based on the number of women who are members. Annual membership is $1,100, with $1,000 going directly to grant-making.
“Share to Care will bring the community together and showcase the amazing organizations that do so much to make Indian River County a better place for all,” says Fitzgerald.
