The Treasure Coast Chorale will perform a wide variety of “dance songs” in their “Shall We Dance” concert on Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Vero Beach. The concert includes 45 voices singing the madcap medley “Dance Evolution” featuring “The Twist,” “Cotton Eye Joe” and “YMCA.” At the other end of the musical spectrum will be Handel’s sacred dance work “Praise the Lord.” Also on the program will be Sydney Carter’s “Lord of the Dance” and movie songs from “Sister Act 2.” Expect those toes to keep tapping when you hear “Save the Last Dance for Me” and “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got that Swing).” The performance is free, but donations accepted. For music a bit more on the serious side, consider heading to Community Church of Vero Beach next Tuesday for the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. The chamber group will perform Beethoven’s Trio in G major for violin, viola and cello, Saint-Saëns’ Trio No. 1 for piano, violin and cello, and the Schumann Quartet in E-flat major for piano, violin, viola and cello. The Gifford Youth Orchestra will have its 19th annual concert Saturday afternoon. The concert features violin, piano and voice students of all levels. The concert is free, but donations to the organization will be welcomed. It begins noon, Saturday, Nov. 5, in the Family Life Center Auditorium at the First Baptist Church, 2206 16th Ave., Vero Beach. A reception with light refreshments will be held after the concert. Those wanting to get out in what promises to be some nice weather may want to head to the 7th Annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show on Saturday. The annual event began small with an impromptu show of just 20 cars and motorcycles. It has grown into a successful annual fundraiser. Admission is free, but a suggestion donation of $5 would help benefit the church’s Men’s Charity Fund, which supports many local groups including Space Coast Honor Flight, Missionary Flights International, Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch and many more. If you want to show your vehicle, registration is $15 in advance or $20 the day of the show, with on-site registration running 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards decided by a People’s Choice vote. There will also be food trucks, drinks and snacks. The Vero Beach Film Festival’s annual fundraiser, the “White Party,” begins 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, on the field at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex, 3901 26th St. There will be champagne, prizes for the best tablescape, raffles, dancing and more. The quirky conceit here is that guests are required to wear all white, bring their own picnic supper with fine chinaware, and bring white items to decorate the table. Champagne is provided, as is the entertainment and the venue, which is a secret, usually until the last moment. Tickets for “The White Party” are $100.
