Pamela Wicks Perry, 88, Vero Beach
January 19, 1934 – July 15, 2022
Pamela Wicks Perry, 88, of Vero Beach, FL passed away on July 15, 2022, at home surrounded and guided by family. She is predeceased by her husband, David A. Perry, and their son, Peter.
She leaves behind her adoring daughters Cindy Perry and Susie von Rosenvinge, as well as five grandchildren: Katie, and her husband Roccou; Emily, her husband Ross, and their daughter Madison; Sarah; Petie, and his wife Maeve; as well as Perry, and his fiancée Anne. Born in Boston, MA, Pam was raised in Wellesley. She was a summer camp counselor at Meadowbrook Day Camp, where at the tender age of 15 she met the love of her life: Dave “D.A.” Perry. Pam attended Beaver Country Day School and went on to study at Curry College. After college, she moved to New York, enjoying a brief career in modeling. She then had a fulfilling career as a stewardess for American Airlines, a job she truly loved. Soon after leaving the airlines, she married her long time love, D.A.. They were soulmates and best friends for over 72 years, until the time of his passing in April 2022.
David’s career as a pilot for TWA afforded them the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the world as a family. Together they took a leap of faith and moved the family to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for six years, knowing the experience would educate and enrich the lives of themselves as well as their three children.
Pam, affectionately called “Muzzie” by her family, was an avid athlete, excelling in figure skating throughout her life. She was part of a precision skating team with her daughter Cindy for several years, winning multiple national championships. Always an enthusiastic spectator, one could hear Muzzie cheering for her grandchildren throughout their various sports competitions. Not only athletic, Pam, was also a talented artist with a strong background in interior design. Combining rich color palettes and textures, she made any house her family lived in a lovely, warm space. She assisted Susie, her youngest daughter, in launching a successful career in painting and design. Ever encouraging, she inspired her children and grandchildren to pursue their creative paths in life.
Pam’s greatest legacy will be her deep love, care, and attention she gave her husband, children and grandchildren.
She cherished time with them enjoying long, spirited conversations around the dinner table taking on the next willing victim in cards and backgammon.

Karen Jean McLean, 67
February 23, 1955 – July 11, 2022
Karen Jean McLean was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Karen passed away on July 11, 2022 at the age of 67 years.
She was born to Donald Jack and Jessie Marie Hayes on February 23, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio. After graduating from Lake Worth High School, Karen met her husband, Thomas McLean. Together, they had 3 children: Brandon, Ryan, and Kara.
While raising her family and supporting her husband in his career as a builder/contractor, she also helped manage and upkeep their rental properties. She also held a variety of jobs to contribute financially. She worked at a local deli, drove a school bus, and also worked at an elementary school as an attendance clerk in Palm Beach County.
When her husband Tom suddenly passed in 2005, Karen courageously continued in her roles as grandmother and mother. She enjoyed baking cookies and special treats for her grandchildren and spending time with her children and her beloved dog Tucker.
Karen is survived by her children: Brandon (April) McLean, Ryan (Danielle) McLean, and Kara (Frankie) Rosario; grandchildren: Lukas, Juliette, Jackson, Lincoln, Levi, Lily, and Landon; sisters Deborah Fuller and Traci (Dennis) Storey; sisters-in-law Terri, Linda, Patti (Bob), brothers-in-law Doug and Terry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, inlaws, husband Tom, sister Donna, brother David, and brothers-in-law Keith, Stan, and Joe. In remembrance of Karen, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to (Humane Society).

Mrs. Sue Ellen Welch, 74, passed away July 14, 2022.
She was born July 25, 1947 in Portsmith, Ohio to the late Howard and Wilda Zuefle.
Sue and her husband relocated to the Vero Beach area in 1970 with their young son. She owned and operated her own Interior Design business, Suellyn’s Interiors, until the early 2000’s.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Welch, and one brother, John Zuefle, both of Vero Beach
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Welch.

Patricia Ann Ross, 76, Vero Beach
April 21, 1946 – July 20, 2022
Patricia Ann Ross, 76, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Ann was born in Salt Rock, West Virginia to the late Herman and Norma Nida Berry. In 1985, she and her family moved to Vero Beach from West Virginia.
She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Ft. Pierce where she was involved in many capacities. Ann was passionate about her church and was so proud of her family which she enjoyed caring for.
Survivors include sons Jody D. Ross (Sandi), Jeffrey L. Ross (Lisa) James A Ross(Lisa) all of Vero Beach, brother Herman Berry (Parshia of Coleman, Alabama, sister Janice Newman of Salt Rock, West Virginia, grandchildren Shelby, Charity, Sasha, Aidan, James and Kaiser, and great-grandchildren Raylynn and Madison.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Ross, parents Herman & Norma Berry, brother Kenneth Berry, sister Easlisee Porter, brother Charles Berry, sister Brenda Berry and brother Hallie Berry.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 2750 McNeil Rd, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
The family will receive friends 3-4 PM Saturday, July, 23, 2022 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Fort Pierce with a funeral service celebrating her life beginning at 4 PM at the church.

Briana Marie McCain, 20, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away, Sunday, July 17, 2022.
Born April 29, 2002, at Melbourne, Florida, she is the daughter of Lisa Schultz McCain and James McCain of Sebastian.
A 2020 graduate of Sebastian River High School, Briana was a Certified Nursing Assistant and was also currently employed at 7-11 convenience store.
She was quite the gifted writer, Briana composed many short stories and kept extensive journals. She was also extremely passionate about her music and had quite an eclectic taste.
Briana was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Freda McCain; great-grandmother, Boom Boom; and a cousin, Alex Ritchey.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving sisters, Kiara & Charity; her little brother, Marley; maternal grandparents, Donna & Allen Schultz; and many other loving family & friends.
A Memorial Gathering & Visitation will be held Monday, July 25th, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Strunk Funeral Home’s Sebastian Chapel.

James William Allen Sr., 88, of Midway, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Savannah.
A service to celebrate Mr. Allen’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Strunk Funeral Home, 1623 North Central Avenue, Sebastian, Florida 32958.
James William Allen was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Bartow, Ga., one of 13 children of Jim and Mary Lizzie Mimbs Allen. He lived in Midway for over 30 years and was a commercial crabber.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Lora Allen of Midway; sons, Jerry Allen (Dale) of Brunswick, and John Allen (Vicki) of Midway; a daughter-in-law, Judy Allen of Rye, Colo.; a sister, Dorothy Brierton (Brian) of Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 11 of his siblings; and a son, James William “Jimbo” Allen Jr.

Tammy Louise Hayes, 59, Vero Beach
January 20, 1963 – July 18, 2022
Tammy Louise Hayes, 59, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away at home after a short illness on July 18, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 20, 1963, in Suffern, NY to the late Joseph James White and Faithe LaVerne Freund White.
She was a graduate of Ramapo Senior High School and a former member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Flemington, NJ where she was an active member of the Vestry. Tammy was always volunteering her time and talents. She was a past soccer mom, girl scout leader, boy scout leader, PTO member, and rescuer of animals in need of a loving home.
Tammy held many management positions throughout her career at Temic Inc., Tommy Hilfiger, Sunglass Hut, Dillard’s, Roses, and Harris Technologies, Inc. Her colleagues always said they were so thankful to have Tammy as a supervisor because she was not only an intelligent, creative, detail-oriented leader, but more importantly, a loving and compassionate person.
Tammy loved people! All people!! She was happiest when she was making memories with her family and friends!
She enjoyed cooking, baking and interior design. She especially loved being a beach bum and sipping and enjoying the “beverage” of the day.
Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Edward John Hayes Sr.; her mother, Faithe L. Jacobson; her children, Deanna Mari Massey (Don Petty) and Joseph Cornelius Massey (Dominique Pascarell); siblings, Jodie Rogers (Daniel), Glenn White (Donna), Brad White, and Scott White (Susan); stepchildren, Edward J. Hayes Jr. (Kayte), Jessica Patton (CL), and Nicole Milewicz (Joseph); 9 step grandchildren; aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews, including her goddaughter Ashley Ward; great nieces and nephews; and her fur babies Leo and Sonny.
Tammy will always be remembered for her infectious laugh, huge smile, and beautiful soul.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 5, 2022, at 1:00pm at Treasure Shores Park, A1A Vero Beach, Florida.

Richard “Dick” L. Drouin, 76, Sebastian
January 3, 1946 – July 5, 2022
Richard “Dick” L. Drouin, 76, passed away at his home in Sebastian, Florida, on July 5, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Laconia, NH, to John G. Drouin Sr. and Katherine H. (Cullen) Drouin on January 3,19461 the second oldest of seven children. He grew up on Ladd Hill in Belmont, NH. on The Drouin and Sons Dairy Farm. During his youth he worked on the farm and delivered milk locally with his father and brothers until 1966 when the dairy farm was converted to Scenic Golf Course (now known as Lakeview Golf Course) by his parents. At that time he worked the course and bartended on league nights.
Dick always enjoyed cooking alongside his mother and it was no surprise when he decided to open up Dick’s Pub on Route 3 in Belmont in the late 1960s. After the sale of Dick’s Pub, he moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, with his family, where he continued on in his career as a well-respected chef. Chef Cooper, who was a television celebrity chef at that time, recognized Dick’s skills in the kitchen and took him under his wing and taught him many culinary techniques that Dick used to expand his knowledge and natural abilities.
He worked for Johnson Properties on Madeira Beach at the Holiday Inn as the Head Chef and later was sent to Clearwater Beach’s Holiday Inn as the Head Chef. The company wanted Dick as their food and beverage manager, but Dick was ready to come back to New Hampshire to start a new phase of his career. When he returned to New Hampshire in the early 1980s he bought Laflamme’s Bakery on Water Street in Laconia, making all of his doughnuts and baked items from scratch along with his famous soups. His next venture brought him back to Ladd Hill in the mid SOs to open the Top of The Town Restaurant in the family’s homestead, where he was well known for his prime rib dinners. In 1988 he returned to the East Coast of Florida where he opened a new breakfast and lunch diner called So Good in Tequesta, where he always had waiting lines around the parking lot He later sold the diner to move in Sebastian where he finally retired.
Dick is survived by his wife Cindy; his daughter Tracy Ober and her husband John; his grandson Craig Ober, his great-granddaughter Chloe Gilfihlian; five brothers, John G. Drouin Jr (Lisa), Raymond Drouin (Karen), Michael Drouin (Jane), Wayne Drown (Carol), David Drouin (Kim); and his only sister Diane Dyke. He also leaves his former wife Claire Johnston; many nieces and nephews; and his constant companion, his dog Lexis.
Dick was predeceased by his father John (2005); his mother Katherine (2018); his beloved daughter Stephanie Droum (2019); his grandson Kendal Gilfilhan (2008); his brother-in-law Neil W. Dyke Sr. (2020); his nephew Joshua Dyke (2020); and his sister-in-law Judith Drouin.
