The Manufacturing Boot Camp is a great way to explore careers in a real-world setting and gain marketable skills. During the week-long boot camp, students will:
- Tour local manufacturer’s facilities
- Participate in hands-on activities to discover a variety of skills relevant to manufacturing
- Gain valuable interviewing and resume-writing skills
Program Details & Requirements
- Open to all high school sophomores, juniors and seniors in Indian River County, including those who are completing their GEDs in Summer 2022.
Young adults in Indian River County, up to age 22, are also eligible.
Priority will be given to CTE students. - All applicants will be scheduled for a brief interview prior to the start of the program, either in person at your school or virtually via Teams or Zoom.
- Program begins on Monday, June 6, 2022, and ends on Friday, June 10, 2022; hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
- Orientation sessions, for participating students and their parents/guardians, will be scheduled prior to the Boot Camp starting.
- Transportation to and from the manufacturing locations is provided each day. A light breakfast and full lunch are also provided each day.
