Carl Arthur Elliott, Jr., 90, Vero Beach

March 02, 1931 – January 08, 2022

Carl Arthur Elliott, Jr. passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at his home in Vero Beach. He was 90 years old.

Carl was born on March 2, 1931, in Vero Beach, Florida to the late Carl Arthur and Haley Louisa Elliott, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Vero Beach.

Mr. Elliott served in the United States Air Force 31st Armament and Electronics Maintenance Squadron. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. He enjoyed his many years of work with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Department and the tax collector’s office.

He attended the University of Florida. Carl enjoyed fishing, boating, and socializing with his friends. He attended First Baptist Church of Vero Beach.

Survivors include his brother, Edward W. Elliott of Vero Beach; sister, Sue Bernandy of Acworth, Georgia; ex-wife, Jeanne Elliott; sons, Jason Elliott and James Elliott; three grandchildren, Jamie Elliott, Sarah Hoskins, and Joe Harrington.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Lynn Elliott and son, Brian Elliott.

A Gathering of friends and family will take place at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 10 -11 a.m. with a Memorial Service to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.

Richard G. Arnold, 97, Barefoot Bay

December 29, 1923 – December 19, 2021

Mr. Richard G. Arnold, 97, of Barefoot Bay, Florida passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Palm Bay Community Hospital in Palm Bay.

Richard was born in Rochester, New York to the late George Adam and Gladys Marie Graves Arnold.  Upon retiring, he moved to Barefoot Bay in the late 80’s from his place of birth.

He proudly served in the US Army.   Richard was a skilled tool and dye machinist and retired from Monroe Forging.  He was of the Episcopal faith and had been a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include sons Richard B. Arnold and his wife Jannyce of Malabar, Florida, Randy Lynn Arnold and his wife Wendy of St. James City, Florida and Thomas Drew Arnold and his wife Rebecca of Black Mountain, North Carolina, four grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife June B. Arnold and a sister Helen Raufeisen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

The family will receive friends 12 Noon – 1 PM, Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian.  Military honors celebrating his life will be offered at 1 PM.  Interment will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.

Harold Robert Seeley, Jr., 74, Vero Beach

August 18, 1947 – January 8, 2022

Harold Robert Seeley, Jr. 74, of Vero Beach, passed away January 8, 2022.

A son of the late Harold (Red) R. Seeley, Sr. and Mable (Gamble) Seeley, he was born August 18, 1947 in Rochester, New York.

He was a graduate of Charlotte High school, going on to take many correspondence courses, online courses, short schools and kept up with current CEUs.

Harold served in the Army from October 11, 1966 to January 16, 1968 in the 1/14th Artillery as an Army Sergeant E-5, 198th Lt. Bde., also known as The Famous 2nd Armored Division.  He defended his country in Vietnam.

He was a former deacon for Forest Park Baptist Church, and a member of the American Legion/VFW. Harold was an avid reader, his other interests included coin collecting, and football; he was a dedicated Miami Dolphin’s fan,

Harold worked for Kodak-Roll Coating Division, Pasco County Utilities, North Beach Water Company, and then as Chief Operator of Indian river County Utilities Water Plant until his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Seeley; sister-in-law, Sharon Seeley; in-laws, Louis Crary and Helen Pascente, and granddaughter Lindsi Causley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patti C. Seeley; daughter, Ami-Jo Causley (Raymond); son, Justin Seeley (Becky); grandchildren, Chelsi Santana (Carlos), Zackery Causley, Caleb, Audri, Hardy and Nathan Seeley; great-grandson, Bentlee Causley; brother-in-law and sister-in-law James and Jacqulin Kimball; his sister Mary Coia; Louis Pascente, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be January 21, 2022 at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach from 5-7:00pm.  Military honors will be presented at 5:30pm.

Eulogy and scriptures will be delivered by Dr. Jack Millwood from Crosswater Community Church at 7:00pm.

Walter B. Wilson, 79

July 27, 1942 – January 12, 2022

Walter B. Wilson passed away surrounded by his family on January 12, 2022. Walt was born in Coggon Iowa on July 27, 1942. Walt was a Veteran of the United States Army, he served 20 years before retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. Walt enjoyed golfing, the arcade, and was a avid Vikings fan, and those that knew him knew there was always a joke coming. He was preceded in death by his Father Joe Wilson, Mother Louise Wilson, brothers Paul and Joe Wilson, and sister Susie Wilson Dowd. He is survived by his son Will (Tammi), Curtis (Kathie), Tracy (Philipp), 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his loyal and faithful dog Jake. At Walt’s request, there will be no services held.

Marlene C. Knowles, 74, Sebastian

June 22, 1947 – January 12, 2022

Marlene C. Knowles of Sebastian Florida died January 12, 2022. She was 74 years old. She was born in Acushnet, Ma and raised in Coventry RI. She moved to Falmouth Ma where she worked as a Medical Practice Manager until she moved to Sebastian FL in 2002. While in Florida she continued her career as a Medical Practice Manager until her retirement in May of 2021.

Marlene was an avid reader of fiction, and her favorite authors were Nicholas Sparks, Michael Palmer, MD, and Robert Patterson. She was a diehard New England Patriots fan and later added the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as she continued to follow her favorite Patriots players Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowsi.

She leaves her loving husband of 40 years, Dennis Knowles of Sebastian, FL, her daughter Patricia Pace – Bartolomei of Mashpee, MA, and her 3 beloved grandsons, Anthony Bartolomei of Mashpee, MA, Marcus Bartolomei of Taunton, MA and Nikolas Bartolomei of Del Mar, California.

A private ceremony will be held for the family in Mashpee, Ma where she will be buried
