A 22-year-old man was jailed after deputies said he fired shots late Wednesday in a Taco Bell parking lot. Deputies said they believe the incident stemmed from a possible drug deal.
It was unclear if any narcotics were found at the scene. No injuries were reported in the shooting, deputies said.

Indian River County deputies arrested Jonathon Dale Byrd, of Brevard County, on charges of possession of a firearm during a felony and improper discharge of a firearm in public. Byrd was held Wednesday at the Indian River County Jail; his bond information was not available.
Indian River County deputies responded to reports of a shooting involving two men about 6:30 p.m. at the parking lot in the 1000 block of U.S. 1, just south of 12th Street. Sheriff’s K-9 units and a helicopter searched for a man who deputies said ran from the area.
Deputies soon detained Byrd and booked him into the county jail. Details on the other man involved were not immediately available.
UPDATE: Suspect arrested in shooting near Taco Bell on US 1 this evening on charges of possession of a firearm during a felony – a suspected drug deal – and improper discharge of a firearm in public. Deputies arrested Jonathon Byrd, 22. He is being processed into the county jail.
