Susan L. Thomas, 91, of Vero Beach, FL passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at her home.
Susan was a native Vero-ite and graduate of Vero Beach High School, Class of ‘48. She had worked as a Supervisor for the City of Vero Beach.
She was a member of Twentieth Avenue Church of God in Vero Beach. Susan enjoyed sewing and loved grandparenting.
Survivors include sons Steven and John Thomas of Vero Beach, daughter Elizabeth (Homer) Brown of Plant City, FL, grandchildren Ethan (Natalie) Brown of Lakeland, FL and Rebecca Brown of Waynesville, NC, siblings J D (Shirley) Anderson of Vero Beach, Carolyn (Jim) Heilman of Vero Beach and Ohio, Diana Jaggers of Vero Beach, and Barbara Smith of Vero Beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Henry and Florida Sapp Anderson, and siblings Lodney Anderson, Lomey Lane, Kosette Clark, Olive Hamilton, Gerald Anderson, Phillp Anderson, Farrel Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
The family will receive friends 4-7 PM, Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A funeral service celebrating her life will begin at 10 AM of Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
