The AARP Community Challenge grant program is part of the nationwide AARP Livable Communities initiative, that Indian River County is a member of. These grants help communities become greater places to live for residents of all ages. The program is intended to help communities make immediate improvements and jump-start long-term progress in support of residents of all ages. Grants are $10,000 – $15,000 and the project must be completed in 12 months. Grants are available for projects in housing, transportation, public places, civic engagement and Covid response and recovery efforts.
Livable Indian River will submit one Challenge Grant application. We are asking you to send your project concept to [email protected] prior to March 5, 2021 at 5:00 PM. Livable Indian River will choose a community project and assist with completing your grant application. Grant applications are due to AARP prior to April 15, 2021.
