Indian River County verified 45 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, according to the Florida Department of Health county report. This raises the total amount of county cases to 9,980, while the death toll remained at 235.

The numbers in the reports are provisional and subject to change. Health officials said 106 out of the 235 Indian River County deaths were at long-term care facilities.

There have been 608 COVID-19 hospitalizations in Indian River County, health officials said. The number of hospitalizations and county cases are both cumulative.

There were 24 people still hospitalized as of Thursday, according to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.

For the Indian River County cases among residents, 6,651 were white, 994 were black, 883 were listed as “other” and 1,370 were listed as “unknown.”

Statewide, the number of COVID-19 cases increased to 1,752,330, health officials said. The number of virus-related deaths increased to 27,698.

Indian River County verified 36 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, along with three new deaths, according to the Florida Department of Health county report. This raises the total amount of county cases to 9,933, while the death toll increased to 235.

There have been 605 COVID-19 hospitalizations in Indian River County, health officials said. The number of hospitalizations and county cases are both cumulative.

There were 27 people still hospitalized as of Wednesday, according to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.

For the Indian River County cases among residents, 6,616 were white, 990 were black, 872 were listed as “other” and 1,371 were listed as “unknown.”

Statewide, the number of COVID-19 cases increased to 1,744,619, health officials said. The number of virus-related deaths increased to 27,472.
