Ballet Vero Beach announces Program 2 Composer’s Notebook: The Music of Antonio Vivaldi

Ballet Vero Beach is thrilled to announce the continuation of live programming with Program 2, Composer’s Notebook: The Music of Antonio Vivaldi.

The second incarnation of our Composer’s Notebook series (February 26-28) features the music of prolific and popular composer Antonio Vivaldi. Works on the program take a deeper look at Vivaldi’s intricate orchestrations to prove his compositions are a perfect match for Ballet Vero Beach’s signature musicality. The program features the return of three works by Artistic Director/CEO, Adam Schnell, including the delightful duet Two Trumpets (dedicated to Schnell’s parents), which has not been seen since the company’s debut season, as well as the company premiere of Matthew Lovegood’s Caprice, which has been an audience favorite across the country for over 15 years. Live performances will take place at the VBHS Performing Arts Center February 26 at 7:30, February 27, at 2:00 and 7:30, and an Accessible Performance, for members of our community with differing abilities, will take place February 28 at 2:00.

A complete list of safety protocols, carried over and refined from previous performances this season, is available on Ballet Vero Beach’s website, with the company exceeding standards for all current guidelines and orders. Protocols include a mask requirement (dancers will likely be unmasked; audience members and staff will be required to wear masks), enhanced cleaning, strict social distancing, capacity restrictions (under 25%), and patron flow management.

For those not yet comfortable returning to the theater, Ballet Vero Beach will continue to offer a watch at home option (films of the performance released just under a week after live shows occur; available to watch for two weeks).

As previously announced, season subscribers will enjoy consistent assigned seats throughout the season, while single ticket buyers will purchase general admission to a specific section to accommodate social distancing. Two Program Subscriptions are still available, as are single tickets, watch at home reservations, and tickets to our new Family Friendly and Accessible Series.
