Helen A. Mansfield, 96
March 26, 1924 – January 16, 2021
Helen (Kolendo) Mansfield, 96, died on January 16, 2021 in Vero Beach, Florida. She was born in Milford, CT on March 26, 1924. She had a large family and spent most of her life in Connecticut. She raised her family in Stratford, CT before spending her later years in Florida.
Helen took great joy in traveling and playing golf all over the globe. She was fun and full of energy; gardening, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing Mahjong, and even climbing ladders and painting in her nineties. She was known for her tenacity, her generosity, and her love for family and friends. Even in her last years of life, Helen enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren, and they made her laugh.
She is survived by two daughters, Alynne (Jeffries) Wells of Milford, CT; Diana (Jefferies) Anderson of Guilderland, NY; and two stepchildren, Peggy Ann Wargo (Bill) of Vero Beach, FL, and Marcia Burcham (Randy) of Tucson, AZ; three grandsons, Eric Anderson, Jacob Anderson, and Douglas Wells; and three great grandsons, Cody, Kyle, and Ryan.
She was predeceased by her grandson Chris Wells, her husband Marshall Mansfield, her son-in-law Douglas Wells, and her first husband Ernest William Jefferies.
Helen thanked all her friends and family for all their support these many years, ensuring she could always continue to travel and enjoy social engagements and family gatherings. She lived her last few years at Vista Gardens Trail, and she valued the friendships she made there.
There will be a Celebration of her Life held at a later date.

Joseph “Joe” Brennan, 59, Vero Beach
June 26, 1961 – January 15, 2021
Joseph “Joe” Brennan, age 59, of Vero Beach, passed away January 15, 2021 at his home.
He was born in Hazlet, New Jersey on June 26, 1961.
Joe moved to Vero Beach in 1974, coming from his birthplace.
He had worked as a mechanic in an auto parts store.
Joe is survived by his wife of 8 years, Tanya Greene of Vero Beach; daughters, Brooke Fowler and Nicole Brennan both of Vero Beach; granddaughters, Kylie Miller, Khloe Fowler, and Braelyn Fowler all of Vero Beach; and sister, Barbara Nolte also of Vero Beach.
Joe was predeceased by his parents, James and Mildred Brennan, and two sisters, Pat and Sue.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 30th, 2021 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory.

Doris Arlene Pyle Waring, 88
November 22, 1932 – January 14, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Doris Arlene Pyle Waring announces her passing on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the age of 88. Heaven has gained another angel.
Doris who was affectionately known as DoDo and Nana was born on November 22, 1932 in Portsmouth, Ohio. She began her career in Washington, DC with Weaver Brothers Real Estate. She met the love of her life, Major George Baden Waring, via mutual friends on a blind date in 1957 while living in Washington, DC. As it turned out they fell madly in love and were married soon after. They were married for 14 years and had 5 children until George was Killed in Action in Vietnam in 1972. She never re-married.
Doris loved life and loved to laugh. She enjoyed walking and playing bridge, but most of all she loved her daily get together with her friends at the mall where they walked and sat together talking and laughing. She was considered the “President” of the group and would adjourn their daily meetings.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Major George Baden Waring; her son Stewart Baden Waring; her father Clyde D. Pyle; her mother Eunice Mae Pyle; and her sister Wanda Nickell.
She is survived by her children Constance (Richard) Young, Vero Beach, FL; Charles (Miki) Waring, Mount Pleasant, SC; Valerie (Ronald) MacMillan, Vero Beach, FL; Russell Waring, Vero Beach, FL. Her 5 grandchildren Brooke MacMillan, Ryan Waring, Sydney MacMillan, Cody Waring and Alec Waring. She is also survived by her sisters Betty Flannery, Vero Beach, FL; Judy Church, Portsmouth, OH; and her brother David Pyle, Vero Beach, FL.
A celebration of life will be held later in Arlington National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her late husband.
