John Ladd Charles, 73, Sebastian
John Ladd Charles, 73, of Sebastian, passed away April 30, 2020, after a short illness. He was born to the late George (Bud) and Isabelle Charles from Springville, N.Y.
John graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1965 and later graduated from Niagara University, Lewiston, NY in 1987 with his Bachelor of Business degree.
He married Kathleen (Kathy Clark) Charles on June 25, 1977. They lived in the Niagara Falls/Lewiston area until January 1989 when they relocated to Marietta/Powder Springs, Georgia by T. Marzetti.
After retiring from CKS Packaging in January 2018, they relocated to Sebastian, Florida where John desired to live his retirement being back in the Sebastian area.
John enjoyed telling family and friends the history of Sebastian and being a tour guide showing people around the area. He looked forward to watching Saturday Georgia Dawgs football and loved old race cars, going to the old Daytona 500 races and Sebring races.
John is survived by his wife, Kathy; his sons, Leslie Ladd Charles, of Atlanta, Ga., and James Lewis Charles; and his daughter-in-law, Megan Josephine Charles; grandsons, Owen Michael and Grant Lewis Charles, of Pensacola, Fla.; his sisters, Barbara Charles, Marlene Bocek, Connie Clonan DeVita; and his brother, Jeff Harris; his nieces and nephews.
The family will celebrate the life of John at a future date.
