INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Currently, there are no cases of COVID-19 recorded in Indian River County – that’s the message the Indian River County government shared on its Facebook page.

The county government continues to monitor the situation with the Health Department. Public updates will be provided as needed.

The Florida Department of Health has set up a hotline residents can call to get information. That number is (866) 779-6121.

Health officials continue to remind people to wash their hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds, and not to touch their face.

Those most at risk for severe consequences of contracting the disease are the elderly and those with chronic medical conditions.

Symptoms include fever, cough, and shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. Those who are concerned they might have contracted COVID-19 are encouraged to call their family doctors.
