An all-new and inspiring concert is being offered by the highly experienced voices of the Treasure Coast Chorale on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 4 p.m. at their regular venue, the First Baptist Church of Vero Beach. Called “What a Wonderful World,” the many songs will focus on the beauty of the world we live in, its skies, seas, mountains, and canyons.
“One of our favorite composers, John Rutter of London, has published several touching compositions in this genre including For the Beauty of the Earth and All Things Bright and Beautiful,” comments TCC Music Director, Dr. Michael Carter. “This program will also include Irving Berlin’s Blue Skies and I Got the Sun in the Morning from the Broadway show Annie Get Your Gun.”
“I found a new piece of music, written by Mark Patterson in 2016, which exemplifies the breathtaking beauty of nature around us all. It is called Grand Canyon Sunrise, and it perfectly suits the soaring harmonic sounds created by our select Chorale,” continues Dr. Carter.
This performance by the 50-voice TCC will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, at the First Baptist Church, 2206 16th Avenue, Vero Beach. As always, the performance will be free and a donation will be requested from the audience to assist this community chorus in offering three exciting concerts a year to our Treasure Coast audiences.
Some talented special guests have been invited to perform this musical performance including guitarist Dave Mundy, drummer Richie Mola, and the Dolls, Vero’s popular oldies trio. Piano accompaniment will be provided by Judy Carter.
Doors at the church will open for early seating at 3 p.m. for the matinee performance.
