SafeSpace celebrates 40 years of saving, changing lives

The only certified domestic violence center on the Treasure Coast celebrates its 40th birthday with an event at Treasure Coast Lexus on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 6 – 9 p.m.

Nearly 200 SafeSpace supporters will gather to celebrate the organization’s 40th year of helping victims of domestic violence survive and thrive. The event will be held at Treasure Coast Lexus, 5121 US 1, Fort Pierce.

This birthday celebration and fundraising event will include cocktails, dinner, entertainment and a chance to win some unique prizes. The money raised from the event will support SafeSpace’s many programs and services, including emergency shelter, supportive living/transitional housing, 24-hour crisis hotline, strategic safety planning, victim and children’s advocacy, youth services/prevention, and education and outreach to special populations.

As the only certified domestic violence center on the Treasure Coast for the past four decades, SafeSpace’s impact has truly been transformational. To celebrate this important milestone, the organization along with presenting sponsors, Joe and Margaret Richebourg Temple, will host a 40th Birthday Bash. The event will recognize and celebrate SafeSpace’s success and impact over the years, while raising critical funds to support the organization’s many programs and services.
