Willene B. Baughman, 88, Vero Beach

Willene B Baughman, 88, left this life, family and friends she embraced, Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at Meadowbrook Residential Care in Pilot Knob, Mo. Willene had obtained the age of 88 years, 11 months and 19 days. She was born in Vero Beach on Oct. 28, 1930, to the late A.P. “Monk” and Estelle (nee Ingram) Baughman, where she resided until moving to Lesterville, Mo., in 2008.

On June 18, 1948, Willene was united in marriage to Wilbur Folds at the First Baptist Church in Vero Beach, and into this loving union two children, Cyndi and Elizabeth were born.

Willene was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vero Beach from childhood until she married Rolland Laramore Sept. 27, 2008. She then moved to Lesterville and became a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, where her membership remained until her passing.

Willene graduated as Salutatorian from Vero Beach High School where she was elected State President of the Future Homemakers of America. Willene worked as a secretary at a law firm for five years in Vero Beach before serving as a secretary at the First Baptist, retiring after 31 years.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 11 years and 22 days, Rolland Laramore; her daughter, Cyndi Nason, of Caldwell, Idaho; grandson, Jason (Christy) Hazellief, of Houston, Texas; and granddaughter, Juli (John) Meno, of Caldwell; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sandy (Jimmy) Smith.

Willene also leaves numerous relatives and a host of friends who will mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Willene was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur C. Folds (2004); and daughter, Elizabeth “Lisa” Folds (1971).

The family received friends at McSpadden Funeral Home, Lesterville, Mo. She will be transferred to the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach, where visitation will take place Noon – 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, at the First Baptist Church of Vero Beach with a funeral service celebrating her life beginning at 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church in Lesterville.

 

Lauretta Ann Modesto, Vero Beach

Lauretta Ann Modesto peacefully passed in her home on Oct. 19, 2019, in Vero Beach. Born in Jersey City, N.J., to parents, Oakley and Carrie (Holsinger) Payne.
Lauretta was a devoted mother and caregiver by nature who shared her passion for cooking with the ones she loved. She will be remembered by her contagious smile, generous spirit and eternal faith for her Heavenly Father.
Survivors include her children, Patricia Modesto-Truncali, Michael Modesto, Laurie Modesto-Henry and Karen Modesto; sons-in-law, Paul Truncali, Daniel Henry and Martin Klinger; grandchildren, Deidre Modesto, Tiffani Yeager and Carly Modesto; great-grandchildren, Marissa and Nathan Dugan and Elika Yeager; siblings, Franklin, Jessie and Charles Payne; and half siblings, Kenneth Radecki and Patty O’Connell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first grandchild, Deidre; and her brothers.

Nancy Lee Rush, 88, Vero Beach

Nancy Lee Rush Passed away at her residence with family on Oct. 21, 2019. She was born on Feb. 14, 1931, in Baltimore, Md., married in 1948 and moved to Pasadena, Md., in 1967.

She retired from Anne Arundel County School Food Service in 1998 and moved to Vero Beach, which was always a dream of hers.

Nancy loved being a homemaker, gardening, sewing, going to Disney World and loved her family and pets.

Nancy is survived by five children, Frieda (Therly) Revels, William Rush, Suzy (Greg) Gifford, Heather Magiera, Jason (Lari) Rush; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral Arrangements will be private per Nancy’s request.
