Lance Joseph-Craig Heitz, 27, Sebastian

Lance Joseph-Craig Heitz, 27, of Sebastian, went to be with Jesus Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, surrounded by his family. Lance was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., on Feb. 21, 1992. His family relocated to Sebastian in 2005.

Lance attended Wabasso School and graduated in 2014. After graduating, Lance attended The Arc of IRC.

Lance was a special boy who touched many lives. Though he never spoke a word, he made a tremendous impact on the people he came in contact with.

Lance is survived by his parents, Sean and Christi Saunders, of Sebastian; siblings, Amber Riggle, of Sebastian, Sarah Wakeland, of St. Augustine, Zachary Saunders, of Sebastian, and Ashlie Bubb, of Jacksonville; grandparents, John and Tracy Heitz, of Coconut Creek, Fla., and Dan and Phyllis Winkler, of Fellsmere; and great-grandmother, Carolyn Huss, of Sebastian. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey Thomas Hart, Jr., 35, Vero Beach

Jeffrey Thomas Hart, Jr., 35, of Vero Beach, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, at his home from long-term heart complications.

Jeffrey was born in Bayshore, N.Y., and moved to Florida with his family as a young child.

He had worked as a store associate for Walgreen’s before his health forced him into an early retirement.

He then took an avid interest in wood working that he had exhibited a great talent.

Jeffrey began creating many marvelous and beautiful creations out of wood. His loving and caring nature showed in the projects he developed.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Debra Ann and Dean Curry, of Vero Beach; son, Travis Cole Hart, of Fort Pierce; sister, Heather Ann Hart (spouse, James Carroll); niece, Hope Hart-Carroll, of Port St. Lucie; and Aunt Georgene Hart, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Thomas Hart.

A memorial service celebrating his life will take place on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. at Gates of Praise Church of God, 295 Old Dixie Highway SW, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
