In Memory: Oct. 16

Myrtice Mae Jones Black Holmes, Wabasso

Myrtice Mae Jones Black Holmes, of Wabasso, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 14, 2019.

Myrtice was a native Floridian. She has three children with Bobby Black, who passed away early in his life.

She began college as a single mother and graduated with a degree in education. Myrtice taught at Vero Beach Elementary School until she retired.

She loved flowers, mowing the yard, early morning coffee and, most of all, her family.

Myrtice remarried in the mid-1970s, to Harrell Holmes.

She was a strong believer in Christ and passed down her spiritual heritage to family and and loved ones.

Most of her life, Myrtice was a resident of the community of Wabasso.

She touched the lives of many people with her strong spirit.

She is loved and will be greatly missed.

At the request of the family services will be held privately.
