
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 55-year-old bicyclist was seriously hurt after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday, fire rescue crews said.
The wreck involving the bicycle and a black Nissan happened about 6:40 a.m. Tuesday at State Road 60 and 66th Avenue, said Indian River County Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Kyle Kofke and Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Al Feola. The bicyclist, a man, was taken by ambulance to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce with serious injuries.
Highway troopers are investigating the cause of the crash. No further details on the incident were available.
