INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A boil water advisory was issued for Liberty Magnet School after a water main broke overnight, according to the School District of Indian River County.
Bottled water has been delivered to the school.
The water main has since been repaired and the school will remain under the advisory for the next 72 hours.
A Health Department representative will be stationed at Liberty Magnet throughout the day to initiate water testing.
“Necessary precautions have been taken,” the School District said in a statement released to the media.
A robo-call was delivered to parents at 9:20 a.m. recorded the previous evening by the principal. At 10 a.m. Friday, another robo-call was delivered from the School District also notifying parents of the advisory.
