Deputies search for suspected 7-Eleven armed robber

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Deputies are searching for a suspect they said pulled out a handgun at a 7-Eleven convenience store and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries or gunshots were reported from the incident, Indian River County sheriff’s spokesman Maj. Eric Flowers said.

The suspect – who wore a multi-colored plaid bandanna over the lower half of his face – walked in to the store about 5:30 a.m. Monday, deputies said. The 7-Eleven is located at 210 Highland Drive Southeast.

The suspect took out the firearm and demanded the cashier give him the money, Flowers said. The suspect then fled the store on foot.

Deputies said the suspect was last seen wearing a royal blue hoodie, acid wash blue jeans and white sneakers. Those who know the identity of the suspect should contact the sheriff’s office at 772-978-6240.
