Candlelight remembrance brings families together to honor memory of loved ones

VERO BEACH — Cox-Gifford Seawinds Community Outreach hosted the Light of Hope Community Candlelight Remembrance on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Chapel located at 1950 20th Street in Vero Beach.

This family-friendly community remembrance was free and open to the entire public.

The Light of Hope Community Candlelight Remembrance, designed to promote comfort, hope and healing provided an opportunity for the Indian River County community to come together to honor the memory of their loved ones.

This unique community candlelight experience featured beautiful music by the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach Hand Bell Choir; an uplifting message by Reverend Joel A. Reif, Minister of Community Care, The Community Church of Vero Beach; an interactive community candle lighting ceremony and dessert reception.

Each guest in attendance received a special gift to honor the memory of their loved one. Guests were encouraged to bring family and friends with them.

“The holidays are a challenging time for anyone who has lost a loved one,” said Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Director & Manager, Philip Lundy. “We hosted the Light of Hope Community Candlelight Remembrance to give our community a place to come to honor and remember in a way that is unique.
