VERO BEACH — 16th Street will close next week for a drainage pipe repair project under the street between 40th Avenue and Rosewood Magnet School, according to a Vero Beach Police Department news release.
Between July 31 and August 4, 16th Street will close between 27th and 43rd Avenues for thru traffic, the release states. Only local traffic will be allowed on 16th Street.
No traffic will be allowed between 39th and 40th Avenues. Commuters should take the detour south to 12th Street or north to State Road 60.
The Public Works Department will repair the drainage pipe. Anyone with questions on the closure or project should call public works at 772-978-4870.
