Cancellations: Beach Town Music Fest, schools, county services

VERO BEACH — Hurricane Matthew is causing events/services to be cancelled, closed or stopped.

  • All businesses in Fellsmere
  • Vero Beach Airport
  • Waste Management will stop all residential and commercial collection in Indian River County Thursday, Oct. 6 and Friday, Oct. 7. 
  • All City of Vero Beach Recreation Department programs and events have been cancelled for Thursday, Oct. 6 through Sunday, Oct. 9.  City of Vero Beach Recreation Department facilities and beaches will be closed Thursday, Oct. 6t until further notice.  Please visit www.covb.org for more information.
  • Community Coach – No service, Thursday (10/6) – Sunday (10/9), Normal operating hours will resume on Monday (10/10) pending conditions
  •  GoLine – Today, Wednesday (10/5) -normal hours of operation; 6am-7pm. GoLine will NOT run on Thursday (10/6) or Friday (10/7) Normal operating hours will resume on Saturday (10/8) from 9am-3pm,     depending on local conditions of road ways.
  • Adult Day Care Vero Beach & Sebastian locations will be closing at 4:00pm on Wednesday (10/5) Both locations will be closed on Thursday (10/6) and Friday (10/7) Both will reopen Monday (10/10), pending conditions.
  •  Main Administration Offices – Closed on Thursday (10/6) & Friday (10/7) and will reopen on Monday (10/10) pending conditions.   • TCCH’s  EMERGENCY WEATHER CLOSURE  – Due to the impending storm, Hurricane Matthew, TCCH will be closed on Thursday and Friday October 6th and 7th, 2016.  Weather permitting, dental services will be available on Saturday, October 8th at both the Oslo Rd and Fellsmere facilities from 8 am to 12 noon.  In addition, Pediatric medical services will be open at the Fellsmere location from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday, October 8th.  Weather permitting, TCCH will resume regular business hours on Moday October 10, 2016. 
  • Florida Tech Cancels Classes, Suspends Operations as of 1 p.m. Wednesday. Classes remain canceled and normal operations suspended Thursday and Friday, Oct. 6 and 7. Weekend activities, including athletic events, are also suspended. The university will resume normal operations Tuesday, Oct. 11, following Monday’s Columbus Day holiday.
