INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the workshop series “Affairs of Estate,” an Explore and Explain program, will be hosted this October.
The instructor is Mel Ratcliff, founder of Blue Chip Divas, a financial services firm that specializes in “Making Wall Street work for Women.” The Chamber has previously hosted dozens of the very popular Women on Wall Street programs, and Affairs of Estate is another selection from the Explore and Explain library of educational and informative programs created by Ratcliff to assist women in successfully navigating the transitions of their unique financial journey.
Affairs of Estate will decipher the “legalese” around estate planning and the associated documents, such as Power of Attorney, Last Will and Testament, Living Will, Living Trust, etc. in “every day speak” terms people can understand and use. This six session program will focus on empowering women to better understand their own unique circumstances and the value of estate planning to them and their loved ones. A must program for women considering estate planning or expecting to serve, now or in the future, as Trustee, Successor-Trustee, Power of Attorney agent, health care surrogate, or executrix/personal representative.
Sessions are Tuesday and Thursdays, Oct. 4-20 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, located at 1216 21st Street in Vero Beach. Cost is $30 per person and covers all six sessions and materials. Call (772) 567-3491 to RSVP.
