Floyd R. Lankford, Vero Beach

Floyd R. Lankford, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sept. 17, 2016, after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Riordan Lankford; his three children, Kathy Dunleavy (Ray) of Spartanburg, S.C., Luanne Wukovits (Ken) of Miami, and Paul Lankford (Shelly) of Tampa; six grandchildren, Jason Peavy (Rachel) of Columbia, S.C., Adam Peavy of Tampa, Lauren Borges (Javier) of New York, N.Y., Katie Knapp (Scott) of Englewood, Fla., Amanda Lankford of Grand Cayman Island and Paul Lankford, Jr. of Grand Cayman Island; and five great-grandchildren.

Lankford was born in Princeton, W.Va., in 1929, to the late Kathryn Hushour Lankford and Floyd Lankford, he moved to Miami in 1932 where he lived until 1995 when he retired to Vero Beach. He owned Window Alterations Company and retired from Duncan Edwards Industrial Supplies as Sales Manager.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m., Sept. 23, 2016, at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach followed by a reception in the North Room.
