INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Several men with guns committed an armed robbery in South Vero Tuesday night, prompting the Sheriff’s Office to initiate a search for the suspects.
Four or five suspects armed with handguns approached the two victims in front of their home in the 2100 block of 16th Avenue SW around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
The suspects demanded money and jewelry, according to Indian River County Sheriff’s spokesman Eric Flowers. The suspects were described as black males with slender builds, and wearing black clothing.
The suspects were last seen driving toward Highland Drive SW in a gray Hyundai Sonata, according to authorities. The victims were not injured.
