Josephine C. Buckley Knipper, of Sebastian, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2016.
She is survived by her children John of Charleston, S.C., Patricia of New York City, N.Y., and Jerry of County Kerry, Ireland; and granddaughter Ann-Marie.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Knipper.
Knipper was born in 1928 in the Bronx, N.Y., to Cornelius and Ellen Buckley. She was raised in Manhattan and later graduated from Aquinas High School in the Bronx.
She spent her early adult life living in Hicksville, Long Island, N.Y., where she raised her family. She relocated with her husband, John, to Sebastian in 1986.
Knipper was an active member of the St. Sebastian Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister and lector, and where she was also an active member of the Women’s Guild. She loved her family and her faith, and treated everyone with whom she came in contact with the same love and caring.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Sebastian Catholic Church on Friday, June 17 at 10 a.m.
