Anita J. Bruton, 83, of Sebastian, passed away peacefully at the hospice house on June 6, 2016.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Verner Bruton; her children John (Mary), Dawn (Bruce) and Kevin (Debbie); four grandsons; and brother David Buss.
Bruton was born in Bethlehem, Pa., on Oct. 19, 1932. She moved to Churchville, N.Y. in 1946 with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Paul Buss and her brother David. She graduated from Churchville High School in 1950.
She worked at Fairbanks Road Elementary School as the school secretary for 27 years. She attended St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. She and her husband Verner had a summer home in the Thousand Islands before retiring to Sebastian in 1992.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home, 21 S. Main St. Churchville. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Church 11 N. Main St. Churchville. Interment in St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Churchville American Legion or Churchville Fire Department in Anita’s memory.
