Saint Helen’s Knights of Columbus supports the Arc, Special Scouts

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Once again the Saint Helen’s Knights of Columbus showed their community spirit. Chancellor Eddie Boatwright and Financial Secretary Ed Boesch, arrived at The Arc of Indian River County with two $4,763 checks.

Accepting the check for The Arc, Executive Director Chuck Bradley said, “Every year we are thankful to the Knights of Columbus for choosing The Arc as one of the benefactors of the Tootsie Roll Drive. This year the money will help underwrite some of the expenses incurred in the oyster mat production our clients assemble in the Adult Day Training program.”

Eddie Boatwright said, “It’s a good feeling to give back to the community and help those in need.”

Theresa Stewart, scout master of Special Needs Scout Troop #2551, accepted the second check for the scouts.

“The scouts are grateful to the Knights of Columbus for the donations they so generously give to us. The scouts and the individuals at The Arc enjoy helping with the tootsie roll drive every year,” Stewart said.

“On behalf of the Knights of Columbus, I would like to thank everyone that participated in the tootsie roll drive. Being able to help deserving organizations such as The Arc and Special Needs Scouts is only possible because of the volunteers and the caring people of the community,” Boesch said.
