She also held memberships in the National League of American Pen Woman and the Indian River Poetry Society. Her most recent writing had been a series of articles describing life in Elmira, NY, during World War II, as she remembered events when she was an eight-year-old grammar school girl.

For many years, as a senior artist volunteer, she has mentored high school and elementary school art students in classes at the Vero Beach Museum of Art. One of her paintings was selected by Sotheby’s for viewing in a private gallery to benefit The Ocean Conservancy.

Her life in Elmira and surrounding areas spanned 61 years. During vacations, she lived at the family summer home at Crosby Point on Keuka Lake. She attended Hendy Avenue School, Elmira Free Academy, and graduated from Elmira College in 1955.

Born in 1933, the daughter of Leona N. and Andrew Adams Blash, M.D., she was married in 1955 to Henry W. Streeter, Jr. (deceased).
