Thomas Theodore Hoffman, 93, of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 15, 2016, at VNA Hospice House.
He is survived by his daughter Margaret Sneddon of New York, N.Y. and two grandsons, Joshua and Jordan Hoffman of Germantown, Md.
Hoffman was born on April 22, 1922, in Indianapolis, Ind., to the late Oscar Albert and Ruby Donohue Hoffman. He grew up in Indianapolis and Concord Mass.
He graduated from Harvard in 1944 and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Florence “Terry” Bleeker in 1947 and the couple moved to Tarrytown, N.Y. where they had two children, Margaret Leah and Thomas Hartley.
Hoffman worked for General Motors as an engineer before becoming a professional business consultant. He retired and moved to Ocala, Fla., in 1982 and then to Indian River Estates in Vero Beach. He was a long time member of the Kiwanis Service Organization and participated in many committees at Indian River Estates. He was also an active and devoted member of First Presbyterian Church.
There will be a memorial service held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016 at The Indian River Estates Chapel, 2250 Indian Creek Blvd W, Vero Beach, FL 32966.
