SEBASTIAN — Sebastian Elementary School students are being transported to Sebastian City Hall following a phoned-in bomb threat to the school this morning.
Parents are encouraged to pick up their students at City Hall. They will need to bring photo identification in order for their student to be released to them. Students will not be released to parents at Sebastian Elementary School.
The school has more than 500 students.
Sebastian Police continue to investigate the bomb threat at the school. So far, there have been no reports of devices or other suspicious items being found on campus.
Sebastian Elementary School received a “particular” call that prompted the school to initiate its evacuation protocol, said School District spokesman Flynn Fidgeon. Originally, students were relocated elsewhere on campus but later the District determined to move the students off-site.
