Accused ‘low level’ cocaine dealer arrested

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A confidential informant led authorities to the arrest of another man accused of selling cocaine in Indian River County.

Robert Lee Thomas, 46, of 3960 47th Place, Vero Beach, faces felony charges for selling cocaine, possessing cocaine and possession of a firearm/ammo/electric devices by a convicted felon.

The informant told authorities Thomas is considered a “low level drug dealer,” according to the arrest report.

Thomas’ arrest history in Indian River County dates back to at least 2005 according to booking reports. His first felony arrest occurred in June 2008 for third degree grand theft and using forged or counterfeit bills.

He was first booked for cocaine related charges in January this year.

Thomas is being held in the Indian River County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.
