Thomas Evans Brasher, 77, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully in his home on Dec. 6, 2015.
He is survived by his children Tom of Gonzales, La., and Stephen of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren Victoria and Dillon Brasher of Gonzales, La.; and his sister Elaine Gillespie of Louisville, Kent.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Catherine.
Brasher’s early life was spent in Lake Charles, La., where he attended Lake Charles High School and McNeese State College before graduating from Northwestern State College with a degree in Economics and later earning an MBA from LSU.
He and his wife Joan Lowrance Brasher lived in Shreveport and Baton Rouge, La., before moving to Vero Beach in 1998 following his retirement from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana.
He also retired from the Army National Guard as a Command Sgt. Major.
