Emily Edith Andrews, 89, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 15, 2015, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She is survived by her nieces Debbie Haas of Vero Beach, Wendy Woods of Bury St. Edmunds, England and Sharon Finne of Winlaton, England; nephew Neil Dixon of Darlington, England; great-nephew Carl Haas of Anna, Texas; great-nieces Tammy Moldenhauer of Castle Rock, Colo., Laura Finne of Winlaton, England, Emma Finne of Winlaton, England, Lynn Boughton of Bury St. Edmunds, England, Tracey Ladell of Felixxstowe, England and Gemma Woods of Bury St. Edmunds, England.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Andrews in 1988.
Andrews was born in Ryton-on-Tyne, England and moved from England in 1966, eventually moving to Vero Beach in 1981 from Detroit, Mich.
She was a veteran of WW II, serving in the English Army. She had worked for Navy Army Air Force Institute (NAAFI) for two years then served four years in the Army. She was a Lance Corporal.
She had worked for Arbor Drug Store before her retirement.
Andrews was a member of the First Church of God in Vero Beach and had been a member of the Pink Ladies, volunteering at the Indian River Medical Center.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach with Rev. Doug Vogt of the First Church of God Church officiating.
