Sebastian Inlet State Park hosts surf fishing workshops

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Sebastian Inlet State Park will hold a series of surf fishing workshop.

The Surf Fishing Workshop is designed to introduce anglers to the basics of surf fishing. Discussion centers on the equipment needed to enjoy a productive surf fishing day at the beach.

Topics include: rod and reel selection, standard pompano rig, choosing bait and more. Anglers should bring a pen/pencil and something to write on.

The surf fishing workshop will take place at the Sebastian Fishing Museum, located on the south
