VERO BEACH — The art galleries of the Historic Downtown Vero Beach Art District are pleased to announce that the complimentary shuttle bus service that launched last season will return beginning on the First Friday of November and run through April.
The shuttle is co-sponsored by area businesses that support the efforts of the galleries. Magic Carpet Ride will provide a Mercedes Coach Van to provide elegant, safe transportation to strollers who have been flocking to this once a month event by the score.
Shuttle service begins at 5 p.m. and runs until 9:30 p.m. to provide parking and safe transportation for all Vero Beach residents and visitors alike. The only exception will be January, where the stroll will be moved to Jan. 8. The Gallery Stroll receptions are 5 to 8 p.m. but the shuttle will run until 9:30 p.m. to encourage strollers to enjoy dinner at the local restaurants.
The shuttle will depart from the parking lot on 12th Court (across from Jetsons) between the Twin Pairs (east and westbound 20th St.) and will run a continuous loop to access the galleries participating during the gallery stroll. Participating galleries: Artists Guild Gallery, Gallery 14, Flametree Clay Art Gallery, Tiger Lily Art Studios & Gallery, MSVB Studios, The Other Half Gallery, Island Images, Florida Highwayman Landscape Art, Gallery on 18th.
Although the Art Stroll was designed as an opportunity for local artists to have wider exposure for their exhibit openings, all downtown restaurants and area businesses are invited to utilize this wonderful convenience during this monthly event which is growing in popularity. The shuttle is provided by the galleries with help of their sponsors.
