Habitat for Humanity hosts Women Build day May 7

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Indian River Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s invite women to participate in Habitat for Humanity’s eighth annual National Women Build Week.

Volunteers are invited to spend a fun and rewarding morning of measuring, sawing, drilling and hammering on Thursday, May 7, at 7:30 a.m. in Habitat’s construction project at Waterside Subdivision, Vero Beach.

No experience is necessary. Habitat’s professional jobsite supervisors and skilled Women Build crews will provide instruction and guidance. All that workers will need are closed-toed shoes, sunscreen and comfortable clothes. Habitat will provide t-shirts, tools, water, Gatorade and mid-morning snacks.

To sign up to participate on May 7, call Habitat Volunteer Coordinator Samantha Curry at (772) 562-9860, ext. 226, SCurry@IRCHabitat.org, or contact Women Build Leader Lanie Frame at IRCWomenBuild@gmail.com.
