It seemed more like Jack Frost nipping at their heels than the Easter bunny as runners took off from South Beach Park on a chilly Saturday morning during the HabiTrot to Higher Education 5K and 10K races to benefit Indian River Habitat for Humanity.
The event raises money to support Habitat’s scholarship program, affording homeowners and their children with an opportunity to attend college or post-secondary educational programs.
