Genealogical Society offers “Family History Beginner’s Class”

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River Genealogical Society (IRGS) is pleased to announce a Family History Beginner’s Class to be held on April 11, 18 and 25, 2015. The class will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for 3 consecutive Saturdays at the Indian River County Main Library, 2nd Floor Genealogy Department. The library address is 1600 21st Street, Vero Beach, Fl 32960. The seating for this class is limited, so do not hesitate! Classes are free and open to the public.

The Indian River Genealogical Society in partnership with the Main Library will offer a three-week class on researching family history. Diane Macgowan, education chair for IRGS, will be teaching how to gather and organize family information, as well as genealogy research skills on the Internet.

The class is limited to 15 people. Register early by calling (772) 770-5060, then press #5 for the Library Genealogy Department; or by emailing [email protected]. Please provide a full name, email address and phone number. Those interested can also visit the Genealogy Department to place a name on the sign-up sheet. There is no charge for these classes.
