INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Spoonbill Marsh is a 67 acre marine ecosystem that lies along the west bank of the Indian River Lagoon. It is home to a myriad of native birds and a haven for migratory species that are now passing through the area.
The public is invited to an eco walking tour of Spoonbill Marsh on March 14, from 8 am. to 2 p.m., to learn how the Spoonbill Marsh Wetland interacts with the lagoon. Bring cameras, walk the boardwalk, watch the mullet jump, and see the birds. Bottled water will be provided. The tour starts north of Vero Beach, off 57th Street, east of US Highway 1. Follow the Spoonbill Marsh signs back to the River.
