BBQ and Blue’s festival comes to Vero March 7

VERO BEACH — Flavors Festivals announced the first BBQ and Blues Vero Beach event will be held on Saturday, March 7, at Riverside Park/ The event is free of charge, but there is a suggested donation of $5 to benefit the Blues Alliance of the Treasure Coast.

The festival will come alive with incredible energy when the smooth sounds of blues and the sweet smell of barbecue fill the air. BBQ and Blues Vero Beach will feature a full day of mouth-watering barbecue, live entertainment, and a truly relaxing day on Vero Beach’s Indian River.

Attendees will eat, drink and shop in a festival atmosphere while enjoying the sounds of local and regional talent. In addition to the great music and food, the festival will feature a sampling of some local vendors showcasing and selling their latest offerings, from the rubs and sauces, to jewelry and eclectic knick-knacks.

Saturday’s entertainment schedule includes:

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: The Lucky Dogs

1:30 to 3:30 p.m.: Bobby and the Blisters

4 to 6 p.m.: The Funky Monks

6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Jacks Band

9 to 11 p.m.: Delta Dave and Lagoon Squad
