The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Committee will sponsor a pedestrian parade/march on Monday, Jan. 19, from 8:30 a.m. until Noon. The parade itself is expected to start at 10 a.m.
The parade route will begin at the intersection of 17th Avenue and 37th Street, proceed west on 37th Street, north on Highway U.S. 1, north on Old Dixie Highway/38th Lane, west on 45th Street, north on 43rd Avenue and end at Gifford Park, 4715 43rd Avenue.
All traffic control will be handled by the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office. Emergency access to all roadways and driveways will be maintained at all times.
Motorists can expect periodic delays during the time period of 10 a.m. through Noon.
There will be a celebration at Gifford Park following the parade, with food and entertainment.
