FELLSMERE — The U.S. Navy Armed Guard and Merchant Marine meeting will be held at Marsh Landing Restaurant, 44 North Broadway, Fellsmere, on Jan. 17, 9 a.m.
The speaker will be Lee Hankins (Captain USN), Chief of Staff, USN Submarine Force, Pacific Fleet Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Hankins’ US Navy career was spent all in the submarine service. Come hear what goes on under the sea.
Four Chaplains service will be Saturday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at Riverside Park, Sebastian. The speaker of the Four Chaplains will be Louis S. Cavaliere (Captain USN Retired), Chairman of the Board for the Cour Chaplains, from Philadelphia, Penn.
Come and enjoy the camaraderie of old shipmates and meet new people. Everyone is welcome at the meetings and all are encouraged to bring a friend. The group includes members from all branches of the service as well as sons and daughters, widows and widowers of those who served.
