Harrison Coon, 83, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 21, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife Katherine Coon who loves him dearly; his loving son Patrick (Carol) Coon; step-daughter-in-law Renee; step-daughter Carol Stone; grandchildren Robin and Kevin Coon, Kyle, Ryan, and Ty Stone, Steven (Tiffany) Wade, Brian (Christina) Smith, Shawn Ramsey; and great-grandsons Mathew Coon, Braydon, Zachary and David Wade, Adam and Landon Smith; sister Grace; sister-in-law Bonnie; numerous nieces and nephews and of course anyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Coon, stepson Lawrence (Larry) Stone.
He was born in Manlius, N.Y., to William and Winifred Coon, but moved to the Treasure Coast in
1967. A true Florida Transplant, he never considered moving away again. He was a well-respected master finish carpenter in Indian River County and retired from Croom Construction Company after adding his distinctive style and craftsmanship to many houses in John’s Island.

Anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting Coon came to respect and love him. He was a gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew him.
