Rotary Club providing holiday gifts for seniors

VERO BEACH — The Rotary Club of Vero Beach Oceanside is hosting a “Santa for Seniors” gift drive to provide holiday gifts for the Senior Resource Association’s (SRA) Adult Day Care and Meals on Wheels clients.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Senior Resource Association to provide gifts for their clients this holiday season through our ‘Santa for Seniors’ project,” said Clair Brunetti, President of the Rotary Club of Vero Beach Oceanside.

“Rotary’s motto, “Service above Self,” exemplifies the humanitarian spirit of our organization. With strong fellowship among our club members and the application of meaningful service projects like ‘Santa for Seniors’, we serve our community by spreading cheer and comfort to our senior population,” added Brunetti.

There are a total of 283 gifts needed for the clients. Three drop off sites are designated at Horizon Care Services at Regency Park (Vero Beach), Coco Couture Consignments at the Miracle Mile Plaza (Vero Beach) and the Adult Day Care in Sebastian. The deadline for gifts to be donated is Monday, Dec. 15.

“The Senior Resource Association is extremely thankful for the generous support of the Rotary of Vero Beach Oceanside to provide gifts for all of our clients this year,” said Karen Deigl, President and CEO of SRA. “Thanks to the Rotary, we are going to provide a cheerful holiday season for those in need of our services.”

Volunteers are needed to assist with wrapping. Bags, tissue paper and holiday gift wrap are needed. To donate or volunteer for wrapping the gifts, please call (772) 469-3147.
