Literacy Services of IRC throws Holiday Fest Dec. 7

VERO BEACH — Kids will have the opportunity to play in snow, win a bicycle, and take a photo with Santa, and much more at the third annual Family Holiday Fest at Riverside Park in Vero Beach on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cost is $5 per child and free for those who wish to just listen to live entertainment. Literacy Services of Indian River County, a volunteer-driven United Way agency partner dedicated to improving the literacy skills of local adults, is proudly hosting this “funsational” event for families in the community.

There will be something for every member of the family. Attendees can visit the magician, have their face painted, enjoy balloon art, play horseshoes or badminton, enjoy the Cowabunga slide or a festival train ride, decorate holiday ornaments and tree along with other arts and crafts activities or have a free photo taken with Santa Claus.

Lowe’s free “Build and Grow” kid’s clinic will also be available for the first 200 kids only. We encourage everyone to write thank you notes for the troops and to donate blood at the blood mobile bank.

Enjoy shopping for gifts from vendors or the silent auction table while listening to live entertainment and holiday music broadcasted throughout Riverside Park. No one will go hungry with the all the yummy food in the food vendor court.
