LETTER: A question of ‘monsters’ in lawsuit between islander, police

So, Mr. Ray McNulty, you don’t know if Corporal Fletcher McClellan is a monster or not and you want to believe that he poses no danger to the community.

Mr. McNulty, how did this news fall into your hands?

I want to know. Because I do not know if you, a reporter, has some sort of anti-police agenda. I want to believe you are being an objective reporter, but I just don’t know.

Speaking of monsters, how about that poor little 61 year old Allison Landsman, getting behind the wheel, operating a 4000 pound car while intoxicated. I do know that is dangerous. What if she actually caused serious injury or death due to driving while intoxicated? Would you still report the accusations made by the poor little 61 year old.

In my mind, she was more a monstrous danger that night than the 6 foot 1, 240 pound Corporal McClellan. Yes, we both know she plead guilty to driving while intoxicated.

Also, what I do know, if you do nothing wrong, like leaving the scene of an accident, like that poor little 61 year old did, she would have never had any contact with the police that night.

This is my second letter to the editor, posting my opinion. I do know, my first letter was sent via the veronews.com, and as of this date and time, I have not seen it posted anywhere on your web site. I want to believe your newspaper is interactive allowing my opinion to be heard. I want to believe, but I just don’t know.
