Justine J. Wygonik, 84, Vero Beach

Justine J. “Tina” Wygonik, 84, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her extended family and friends, in the quiet serenity of Hospice House in Vero Beach.

She is survived by her children, Marcia (Tom) Moore, Mark, Marie (Kendall) Blanchard, Gregg (Lorie), and many “adopted” children; her sisters, Angela DalPos, Betty McKenna, and Joanne (Tom) Jacobs; sister-in-law Agnes Fisher; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Raymond George, and her son Michael.

Originally from Brackenridge/Natrona Heights, Penn., Wygonik was the eldest daughter of the late Rose and John Magliocchi. She graduated from Harbrack High School, then attended Business School in Pittsburgh, before marrying and beginning a family.

Moving to Vero Beach in 1968, she began work in the Accounting/Bookkeeping field, and was a licensed Income Tax Preparer, all the while raising her five children with husband Raymond.

Wygonik was an enthusiastic Italian cook, and was known for her pizzelles and the large pizza parties that her children hosted upon their high school graduations.

Volunteering for many years with the Vero Beach Theatre Guild as Genie Judge Co-Chair, Wygonik especially loved the choreographed musicals (having tap-danced in her youth), and was honored with a Life-Time Membership in 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 12:30 p.m., followed by a gathering of family and friends at the Theatre Guild, 2020 San Juan Ave.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vero Beach Theatre Guild Building Fund, in memory of Justine. Arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach. A Guest Book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
